About

Konstantinos Salonikidis has loved the icons since he was a child but he was actually introduced to Iconography twenty-five years ago when he was an apprentice to skilled craftsmen of Thessaloniki and Mount Athos. Since then he has constantly been trying to go deep into the spirit and technique of Iconography so as to create work as better as he can trying to balance between traditional and personal style. He paints portable icons and makes frescos while his work can be found mostly in Greece but also in other countries. He was worked with hagiographers from Mount Athos and has taken part in group exhibitions in Greece, Austria, Belgium and Italy.
